IRVING, Texas – The National Football Foundation (NFF) officially announced the organization's 2026 Hampshire Honor Society on Wednesday, distinguishing The Citadel graduate student Mike Bartilucci, '24 as part of the esteemed membership. Created in 2007, the NFF Hampshire Honor Society serves as one of the most comprehensive scholar-athlete initiatives in college athletics, recognizing football players from all divisions who have maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or higher throughout their college careers.

"As the world of college football faces an era of transition, one thing remains the same: the game's ability to develop well-rounded student-athletes committed to excellence in the classroom as well as on the field," NFF Chairman Archie Manning said. "The NFF Hampshire Honor Society provides an important platform for us to recognize the value of the game in developing leaders while shining a light on their individual accomplishments."

The 2026 class features a record 2,596 student-athletes from 365 institutions across six divisions, including FBS, FCS, DII, DII, NAIA and Sprint.

A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Bartilucci anchored the offensive line throughout the 2025 campaign at center, starting all 12 games for the Bulldogs for the second consecutive season. On the ground, he led the veteran five-man corps as the unit carved out one of the nation's top rushing offenses, averaging 210.6 yards per game, good for ninth in the FCS and first amongst SoCon brethren. Bartilucci & Co. also only gave up 1.67 sacks per game, ranked second league-wide, while notably showcasing impressive discipline throughout the year behind just 4.42 penalties per game, good for ninth nationally and the top spot within the conference.

Previously, Bartilucci earned distinction as the recipient of the prestigious Jacobs Blocking Award, given to the top offensive lineman in the Southern Conference, while also picking up AFCA first-team All-American and first-team All-SoCon honors as well. Additionally, he also served as a semifinalist for the acclaimed Campbell Trophy, designed to recognize an individual as the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation for his combined academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership.
