From the Desk of the Athletic Director: Fall Updates at Johnson Hagood Stadium

Supporters of The Citadel Athletics,
As we begin another exciting academic year, please know your continued support is greatly appreciated by our coaches, staff and, most importantly, student-athletes.
Following the 2025 football season, we solicited feedback regarding our gameday experience and, based on that communication, we have several new initiatives coming to Johnson Hagood Stadium this fall.
To provide more flexibility with concessions, we are implementing a new "order-ahead" system with one designated pickup location – the southwest stand across from the Papa John's window. Detailed information regarding this process will be available both online in the coming days and at the stadium.
Another area of enhancement is our premium seating options – now including the Blue Zone presented by Bud Light. This unique experience includes field level viewing in the South end zone along with access to an all-inclusive buffet and cash bar.
Our new East Side stands, complete with a full suite of restrooms, will be available for the home-opener against Charleston Southern on Saturday, Sept. 12. And within our West Side seating footprint, new seat numbers have been applied to sections A, B, C, D, E, I and J for better identification.
We're excited about our partnership with Steve Giove, who joined The Citadel this past January as the new Director of Bands. With that, new amplification measures have been installed for better musical sound quality.
Following extensive consultation with head coach Maurice Drayton, our staff and student-athletes, we've made the decision to reposition our team to the East sideline this season. This shift affords some logistical benefits in alignment with our core foundation of providing the best possible student-athlete experience.
With the alteration in team sideline assignments, the ticket allotment for our opponents now will be in sections A and B, and when visiting spirit squads travel, they will be placed in the southwest corner of the stadium. The Citadel cheer squad and Short Gray Line will remain in the northwest corner of the stadium aligned with the South Carolina Corps of Cadets.
Lastly, if you have not yet purchased your season tickets, you can do so by calling 843-953-DOGS (3647) or visiting www.citadelsports.com/tickets. Your support is invaluable to the success of all our student-athletes.
Go Dogs!
