SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- On the heels of a 137-yard, three-touchdown rushing performance during Saturday evening's triple-overtime upset victory at Charlotte, The Citadel RB Gavin Garcia secured distinction as the Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Week, per an announcement from the league office Monday afternoon.
"We knew as a team we needed to bounce back and respond from week 1, and Charlotte just happened to be the team standing in our way. The offense, defense, and special teams all played great and now we're looking forward to continuing the momentum into the home opener this Saturday"
