2016 Academic All-Southern Conference

SOPHOMORE (2017): Appeared in 10 games … Went 23-of-50 for 584 yards and six touchdowns through the air (both team highs) and added 303 rushing yards and two rushing scores on 81 attempts … Had a season-high 223 passing yards and two passing touchdowns off 8-of-17 at No. 21 Furman (11/11) and added 13 yards rushing … The eight completions against the Paladins was also a season high … Eclipsed the 100-yard passing mark at No. 23 Samford (9/30) as he went 5-of-11 … Added 60 yards and one score on the ground off 16 attempts, including a season-long run of 30 yards … Had 89 yards and three touchdowns through the air on 3-of-3 passing at Presbyterian (9/9) … Added a season-high 103 yards on the ground off 12 rushing attempts.

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2016): Appeared in seven games with three starts … Was 10-of-18 passing for 99 yards and one touchdown and rushed 49 times for 189 yards and four touchdowns … Rushing touchdowns total tied for fourth among Bulldogs … Made first career start and collegiate debut in season-opening 24-23 win at Mercer … Rushed 10 times for 25 yards and was 6-of-9 passing, including 3-of-3 on third downs, for 79 yards at Bears … Scored first two collegiate touchdowns with pair of one-yard runs in 19-14 victory vs. Furman, finishing game with 41 yards on 12 carries … Started 31-24 win at Gardner-Webb and rushed for 29 yards and one touchdown on six carries … Was 2-of-3 passing for three yards and one touchdown and added seven yards on two rushes in 37-14 win at Western Carolina … Rushed seven times for six yards in 38-14 victory at North Greenville … Rushed for season-high 86 yards and one touchdown on 11 carries after coming on in relief after halftime in 45-10 win vs. ETSU … Completed 10-yard pass at North Carolina.

FRESHMAN (2015): Worked with the Bulldogs’ scout team while redshirting.

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year lettermen in football, basketball and baseball … Played wide receiver first three seasons before taking over at quarterback for senior year … Named to all-region team each year … Served as team captain senior year … Named Georgia Athletic Coaches Association 2A South Athlete of the Year … Was selected to 2014 Atlanta Journal Constitution Class 2A All-State team and WTOC Super 11 squad … Named to All-Middle Georgia all-star team as junior … Three-time member of all-region team in basketball and once in baseball … Three-year Honor Roll member.

PERSONAL: Son of Chris and Katrina Black … Uncle, Mel Blount, played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and is a member of NFL Hall of Fame.
