2021: Started all 11 games…finished with 45 tackles, 32 solo, two tackles-for-loss, one fumble recovery and one blocked kick…also had team-high five interceptions and 142 return yards…ranked third in the FCS in interception return yards…opened season with six tackles in back-to-back games against Coastal Carolina and Charleston Southern…returned an interception 92 yards against North Greenville…posted five tackles and an interception against VMI…finished with seven stops against ETSU and Furman…added interception against Western Carolina…recovered a fumble and intercepted a pass against Wofford…sealed victory over Chattanooga with later interception.

2020-21: Started all 11 games in which he appeared…posted 37 tackles, 1.0 tackle-for-loss and five pass break-ups…had five tackles and a pass break-up against Eastern Kentucky…added two pass break-ups and five stops against ETSU…followed it up with season-high six tackles against Samford…matched that effort with six stops against VMI.

2019: Started the final 10 games of the season…finished with 35 tackles, two interceptions, two pass break-ups and three quarterback hurries…made six tackles in season debut against Georgia Tech…had season-best seven tackles against Charleston Southern and VMI…intercepted a pass against Western Carolina…returned an interception 18 yards against ETSU.

2018: Appeared in all games, making four starts…finished season with 15 tackles, one sack, one pass break-up and one quarterback hurry…made four tackles in collegiate debut at Wofford…posted six tackles, including a sack and 1.5 tackles-for-loss, against Charleston Southern.

HIGH SCHOOL: Versatile athlete at Tattnall Square Academy in Warner Robbins, Ga…all-region selection with 985 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns as a senior…rushed for almost 1,600 yards during his career with 25 TDs…named Macon Touchdown Club’s Running Back of the Week for his performance against Stratford Academy, rushing 22 times for 192 yards and a touchdown…had 137 yards receiving and two touchdowns during his career…played linebacker on defense, amassing 60 tackles as a senior…averaged 7.5 tackles per game…played quarterback as a sophomore…also participated in baseball and basketball.

PERSONAL: Son of Cornelius and Florida Mercer…majoring in sport management.
