Biography

2019: Started all 12 games…rushed 52 times for 401 yards and three touchdowns…added five catches for 132 yards and a touchdown…carried six times for 24 yards in the season opener against Towson…scored first touchdown of the season at Georgia Tech…finished with 43 yards on six totes…ran for 31 yards and a touchdown, and added a 47-yard reception against Samford…had two carries for 30 yards and two receptions for 43 yards against VMI…rushed season-high eight times for 74 yards against ETSU…broke free on a career-long 73-yard run against Chattanooga…hauled in a 31-yard touchdown pass against Wofford.

2018: Appeared in all 11 games…rushed 41 times for 273 yards and two touchdowns…added five catches for 65 yards…rushed for 34 yards on five carries against Chattanooga…carried nine times for 130 yards and two touchdowns against Alabama…joined Darren McFadden, Ezekiel Elliott and Todd Gurley as only running backs to rush for over 100 yards and two touchdowns against a Nick Saban-led Alabama team…returned two blocked punts for touchdowns…returned a punt two yards against Western Carolina and 24 yards against Charleston Southern…added three tackles on special teams.

2017: Sat out the season as a red-shirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year starter at Porter-Gaud…accumulated nearly 1,000 all-purpose yards as senior to earn first-team all-state honors and help lead Cyclones to SCISA AAA state championship game…caught 40 passes for 683 yards, averaging 17.1 yards per catch, with four touchdowns, and added 158 return yards with one touchdown and 15 rushing yards with two touchdowns…was first-team all-state defensive selection and second-team all-state on offense after scoring 10 touchdowns junior year…earned honorable mention all-state recognition as sophomore…also lettered in basketball and track and field…holds school record in 200-meter dash…helped Cyclones win 2014 state track and field title.

PERSONAL: Son of Clarence and Hope Smith…majoring in business administration.
