ON DAVIS: Strong, physical player who worked his way into the starting lineup by seasons end in 2013 ... expected to start on the left side of the offensive line.

FRESHMAN (2013): Played in all 12 games with the second team offensive lineman before earning a spot on the starting squad for the last three games ... had six knowdown blocks each in wins over Samford and VMI ... finished the year with 27 total knockdowns at left tackle.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Walton High School ... lettered four times in football, twice in track and field and also competed in wrestling ... served as a team captain ... named second team all-state following his senior season ... member of team that finished 14-1, reached the state championship game and earned a No. 22 national ranking.

PERSONAL: Son of John and Hester Davis ... father played football at Georgia Tech and spent eight seasons in the NFL, appearing in three Super Bowls with the Buffalo Bills ... majoring in physical education - sport management and administration.
