2023: Appeared in 10 games...registered 12 tackles, including a sack, and forced a fumble on the season...was in on two tackles at Georgia Southern...notched a tackle at Campbell...recorded two solo tackles at Chattanooga...posted two tackles at Furman...had a solo stop at Samford...garnered a tackle against Wofford...recorded a season-high three solo stops, including a sack, and forced a fumble at ETSU.

2022: Played in nine games, recording nine tackles and half a sack…was in on a tackle at Campbell and at Appalachian State…had a quarterback hurry at Wofford…notched two tackles against Samford…recorded a tackle against Chattanooga…posted four stops, including a sack, against Virginia-Lynchburg.

2021: Appeared in all 11 games…got the start against VMI…finished with eight tackles, including one sack…registered two tackles, including a 13-yard sack, in season opener against Coastal Carolina…had solo stops against Charleston Southern and North Greenville.

2020-21: Appeared in all four games in the fall…made first career tackle at Clemson.

2019: Sat out the season as a red-shirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Rick Tate at Boiling Springs High School…earned All-Region 2-5A honors as a senior…also selected as team MVP…selected to participate in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas…recorded 59 tackles, including eight tackles-for-loss, as a junior…helped Bulldogs capture the upper state championships as a sophomore…academic all-area…member of the National Honor Society.

PERSONAL: Son of Darrell and Sharon McDowell…plans to major in exercise science.
