HIGH SCHOOL: Played football at Rabun Gap-Nachoochee School...as a senior had 35 tackles and three sacks, along with an interception...during his junior season he had 13 tackles and a fumble recovery as the team was 8-3 and NCISAA Division I State runner-up...team added a state runner-up finish in 2021...also competed in track and field, earning All-Conference honors in the discus in 2023 and was a three-time state qualifier.

PERSONAL: Son of Rob and Virginia Mallard...mother, Virginia, played basketball and ran track at Furman.
