CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Citadel opens a stretch of 15 of its next 16 games at home when it welcomes Alabama State for a three-game series beginning Friday at Riley Park.
The Bulldogs and Hornets will open the set at 4 p.m. on Friday, the game moving up an hour due to colder weather later in the evening. The series continues at 3 p.m. on Saturday following The Citadel's basketball game against Western Carolina and concludes on Sunday at noon.
Saturday is Baseball Bingo Day at the ballpark, and Sunday is a YP KIDet Club Day, with all members admitted to the game free.
The Friday and Sunday games can be seen free of charge on the

The Bulldogs are coming off a 3-2 win over former Southern Conference rival Georgia Southern on Tuesday to even their record at 4-4. Alabama State enters with a mark of 3-4 including a win over 2014 NCAA Tournament qualifier Cal State Fullerton and losses to Louisville, South Florida, Auburn and South Alabama.
Left-hander
James Reeves (1-0, 4.09) will open the series on the mound for The Citadel. In 11 innings so far this season, the redshirt junior has walked only one batter while striking out 20, including 14 in his first start against Air Force. He will be opposed by senior righty T.J. Renda (1-1, 4.15).
Junior right-handers
Austin Livingston (0-1, 6.97) and
Austin Mason (1-0, 1.69) will start on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The Hornets are going with junior righty Joseph Camacho (2-0, 1.98) in the middle game of the series and have not decided on a Sunday starter.
Riley Park opens one hour prior to first pitch. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for students and children and can be purchased at the gate.
