MACON, Ga. – Despite a match-high 14 kills by sophomore Moriah Smith, The Citadel volleyball team fell to the Mercer Bears on Wednesday evening in Hawkins Arena.
 
While Smith led the squad in kills, senior Bailey Kernodle earned a team-high attack percentage of .357 along with nine digs. Senior Rachel Keefer also recorded a team-high with 20 assists.
 
Junior middle-hitter Dominique Williams posted two block assists, along with a service ace for the Bulldogs.
 
The Citadel volleyball team will return to McAlister Field House for a pair of matches this weekend as they take on Furman on Friday at 6 p.m. and Samford on Saturday at 2 p.m. Live stats for the match are available at CitadelSports.com and the matches will be streamed on the SoCon Digital Network.
