CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel wrestling team continues Southern Conference action on Wednesday when it hosts Appalachian State inside McAlister Field House at 6 p.m. This will be the third SoCon match of the season for the Bulldogs.
 
The Citadel (4-5, 1-1) comes into the match after dropping two contests last weekend to Southern Illinois Edwardsville and Northern Illinois. Aaron Walker is the only Bulldog still undefeated in duals this season. The junior holds a 9-0 dual record and is 17-5 overall.
 
Joe Bexley was the only other Bulldog to go 2-0 on Sunday, picking up wins over Chris Johnson of SIUE by a 4-2 sudden victory decision and Northern Illinois's Arthur Bunce by a 7-3 decision. The junior is 6-3 in duals this year and has tallied a 9-10 overall record.
 
Appalachian State holds an 8-2 record this season and is currently ranked No. 25 in the country. The Mountaineers have received numerous awards from the SoCon office this season, taking home four of the nine weekly honors. No. 6 Denzel Dejournette has been the recipient for three of the four awards and has lost only two bouts at 285 pounds this season.
