ELON, N.C. – The Citadel baseball team dropped the final game of the series with Elon on Sunday afternoon 8-3.

The Bulldogs (7-8) led for the majority of the game but Elon (8-8) exploded for seven runs in the eighth inning to clinch the victory and the series.

William Kinney went two-for-three and
Clay Martin,
Ben Peden,
Stephen Windham and
Philip Watcher all collected hits of their own.

Jacob Watcher made his second start of the season for the Bulldogs on the mound going four innings, allowing four hits and tallying a season-high six strikeouts. Freshman
Johnny Croley was saddled with the loss and the staff combined for nine strikeouts.
