• Both teams combined to score 21 runs in the series-opener which tied the most runs scored in a game this season as The Citadel and the College of Charleston combined for 21 runs on March 6.

• This will be the first appearance for Clemson in the Lowcountry since 1990. It will also be the first time since 2004 that the Bulldogs and Tigers have faced each other.
• The Bulldogs have never hosted the Tigers at Riley Park and head coach Fred Jordan has never hosted the Tigers during his 25-year career.
• This will mark the 27th and 28th time head coach Fred Jordan and head coach Monte Lee have coached against each other with all previous matchups coming when Coach Lee was at the College of Charleston.
• Both of the Watcher brothers, Jacob and Philip, have played in all but one of the games at the same time this season, either at second base or on the mound.
• Jacob (#31) has started six of the 15 games at second base and has made six appearances on the bump this season, pitching a season-high 4.0 innings and fanning a career-high 6 batters on March 13 at Elon. The sophomore held Richmond, third-best hitting team in the country, to three hits en route to picking up the win on March 9. When Jacob is not on the mound, he is batting .300 with six hits.
• Philip (#2) has thrown 11.0 innings so far this season including 5.0 against USC Upstate in his second start this season.
