CHARLESTON, S.C. –The Citadel baseball team dropped the second game of its season series with Charleston Southern on Tuesday evening.
 
The schools split the two-game series with the Bulldogs (12-18) taking the first game against the Buccaneers (12-17) on March 29 by a score of 4-3.
 
Taylor Cothran made his first start of the year and Cole Buffington and Barrett Charpia made just their second starts of the season. Justin Craft made his first appearance behind the plate this season and Morgan Foulks pitched a career-high 2.2 innings.
 
Shy Phillips was two-for-three in the contest and William Kinney knocked in his 11th RBI of the season.
 
After a four-game road swing, The Citadel will host Southern Conference foe UNCG for a three-game series beginning on Friday at Joe Riley Park.
