Diggs Finishes First in 60-Meter Hurdles

Winston Salem, N.C. – The Citadel's track and field teams competed in the High Point Team Challenge in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on Thursday.
Senior Malik Diggs finished first overall in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.35 seconds. Freshman Raleigh Webb set a personal record in the 60-meter dash and finished fourth with a time of 7.16 and senior Dondray Copeland finished ninth in 7.20.
The men's squad also took fourth place in the 4x400 relay race with a time of 3:28.94.
For the women's team, senior Caillian Colquitt set a personal record and placed seventh in the 3,000 with a time of 10:38.65 to earn the No. 2 spot in program history. Freshman Jessy Page once against set The Citadel's freshman record in the weight throw with a toss of 49-9.75 to earn sixth place in the event.
The women's 4x400 relay team ran a time of 4:04.45 to take fourth place overall.
The Bulldogs will compete in the Clemson Invitational next Friday in Clemson, South Carolina. Results from the meet will be available on CitadelSports.com.
