
Bulldogs Win 13 Events on Saturday

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel track and field teams competed in the CSU-hosted Lowcountry Invitational on Saturday.

For the women's team, freshman Jessy Page took first place in the discus with a heave of 141-9 to break the program's all-time record. Page also took first place in the hammer throw and set a new personal best with a toss of 161-1. Junior Bethany Reeves took first place in the 1,500-meter race with a time of 5:30.65, and senior Caillian Colquitt finished first in the 5,000 meters in 19:25.50.

In the field events, junior Mady Riegel finished first in the javelin with a heave of 130-2. Junior Asyria Daniels finished first in the long jump in 17-8.75, and sophomore Summer Thompson had a first-place finish in the high jump with a leap of 4-11.

Senior Malik Diggs took first place in both the 100-meter dash and 110-meter hurdles. Diggs finished the 100 meters with a time of 11.13 seconds, and hurdles with a time of 15.00.

Freshman Raleigh Webb finished first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.28, and junior Devin Singleton took first in the 400 meters in 49.72. Sophomore Stephan Kulick finished first in the 800-meter race with a time of 1:57.83, and junior Charlie Walker took first place in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 57.28.

In the field events, junior Derrick Freeland captured first place and set a new personal best in the discus with a heave of 152 feet, 2 inches. Â
