Bulldogs Compete in Final Regular Season Meet

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel's track and field teams are set to compete in the CSU-Citadel Tune-Up hosted by Charleston Southern on Wednesday.

Last week, junior Mady Riegel placed seventh overall in the javelin at the Penn Relays with a heave of 142 feet, 4 inches, the first female to make the finals at the Penn Relays in school history. The Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania native is ranked No. 1 in the Southern Conference this season in the javelin with a launch of 143 feet, 0 inches at the CSU Spring Break Invitational on March 17.

For the men's team, senior Malik Diggs is currently ranked first in the SoCon in the 400-meter hurdles with a top time of 52.78 seconds. Diggs is also No. 2 in the conference in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.35 seconds. Both times rank second in program history for each respective event. Â

Wednesday's meet in North Charleston, South Carolina, is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. and final results will be available at CitadelSports.com.
