  • The Bulldogs also blocked two kicks in the win. Sean-Thomas Faulkner blocked a punt and Ken Allen blocked an extra point. The Citadel leads the Southern Conference with three blocked kicks.
  • Kicker Jacob Godek connected on field goals of 37 and 28 yards. He has now made six-straight field goals.
  • The Bulldogs have scored at least 20 points in each of the first six games. It is the first time they started the season with six-straight games scoring over 20 points since the 1971 team scored over 20 points in all 11 games.
  • The Paladins enter the weekend with a record of 2-4 and a 2-2 mark in conference play. They are coming off a 38-25 loss at home to Samford.
  • Furman is averaging 24.0 points on the season. After scoring just seven points in each of the first two games, the Paladins are averaging 32.5 points over their last four games.

282.3 - The Bulldogs live on the ground as they are averaging 282.3 rushing yards per game. They have rushed the ball 372 time and are averaging 4.6 yards per carry.
155 - Quarterback Jordan Black rushed for a 155 yards and two touchdowns in the victory over VMI.
71 - Jordan Black's second touchdown run covered 71 yards. It marked the second-straight years the Bulldogs had a 71-yard touchdown run against VMI. Grant Drakeford scored form 71-yards out a season ago. The run was also the fifth longest by a quarterback in program history.
20 - The Bulldogs have scored at least 20 points in all six games this season. It is the longest such streak to start a season since The Citadel scored at least 20 points in all games in 1971.

On This Date
Jack Douglas rushed for 200 yards and three touchdowns as the Bulldogs defeated ETSU, 35-15, in front of 13,217 inside Johnson Hagood Stadium. Douglas would score on runs of eight, four and 70 yards. He would also throw for 97 yards on 3-of-5 passing. As a team, the Bulldogs rushed 412 yards and converted 10-of-15 third downs in the game.

The Bulldogs return home to take on Furman on Oct. 27. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Johnson Hagood Stadium.

Securing the Silver Shako
The Bulldogs made it 12 in a row in the Battle for the Silver Shako with Saturday's 34-32 victory. The Citadel now leads the all-time series, 42-30-2, over VMI in the Military Classic of the South.


Black Rushes for 155
Quarterback Jordan Black rushed for a career-high 155 yards and two touchdowns in the victory over VMI. The day was highlighted by a 71-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter.

Jordan Black's two rushing touchdowns against VMI marked the third-straight game in which the quarterback has scored a pair of rushing touchdowns. He has two rushing touchdowns in four games this season.

Forcing Turnovers
The Citadel tied a season-high with three turnovers against VMI. Aron Spann III forced a fumble and intercepted a pass, while Willie Eubanks III intercepted a pass in the fourth quarter.


Blocking Kicks
The Bulldogs special teams continue to be strong this season as they blocked two kicks against VMI. Sean-Thomas Faulkner blocked a punt in the first half and Ken Allen had a key blocked extra point in the third quarter.


Kinsey Records Two Sacks
Freshman Mason Kinsey registered the first two sacks of his career against VMI. The two sacks totaled 15 yards in losses.
