Wrestling Travels to New York to Compete in Journeymen Northeast Duals

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel wrestling team travels to compete in the 2018 Journeymen Northeast Duals on Saturday, Nov. 10 and then will compete in the Journeymen Collegiate Classic as individuals on Sunday, Nov. 11 in Troy, New York.

The tournament will include 12 teams, five of which finished in the top-25 at the 2017 NCAA Wrestling Championships, and is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

Dual Schedule

Saturday, Nov. 10 – vs. Edinboro – 10 a.m.
Saturday, Nov. 10 – vs. Sacred Heart – 12 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 10 – vs. Drexel – 4 p.m.

All duals are available for live stream with purchase on FloWrestle.

Collegiate Classic Schedule

Individual wrestling will begin at 9 a.m. Attached is the projected lineup for the second day.

Last Time Out for The Citadel

The Bulldogs most recently competed in the Virginia Tech-hosted Hokie Open on Sunday, Nov. 4 where Martin Duane was the top finisher for the Bulldogs taking third in the 184 freshman/sophomore division. He would only drop one match to the eventual first-place winner of the bracket, Victor Marcelli of UVA.
Freshman Jake Rotunda took fifth place at 133 in the freshman/sophomore division with a pin over in his final match and Sawyer Root finished in fourth place after going 2-2 on the day.
