8/24/2018 7:05:00 PM | Soccer
CHARLESTON, S.C. – With under 30 seconds remaining in regulation and The Citadel soccer team down 1-0, sophomore Maria Contreras put boot to ball off a feed from Kate Manzione, slipping the ball past the Francis Marion keeper to find the much-needed equalizer. The first goal of the afternoon for the Bulldogs sent the game into a golden-goal overtime period where freshman Kessy Bradshaw continued to shine as she drew a foul in the box and then deftly put her penalty kick into the right upper 90 for the win.
