The Citadel to Face No. 8 Georgia in North Augusta

GAME NOTES

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - The Citadel closes out the month of April with its 11th-straight game away from home as the Bulldogs face No. 8 Georgia. First pitch from SRP Park is set for 6:35 p.m. Tickets for the game range from $10-$25. Parking is available in the Blue Lot for $5.

Tuesday's game against Georgia can be heard live on ESPN Radio (94.7 FM & 910 AM). The voice of the Bulldogs, Luke Mauro, will have the call alongside Jay Harper.

Temperatures are expected to be near 90 degrees with sunny skies.


Series History vs. UGA
The Citadel and Georgia are meeting for the fourth time in school history with UGA holding a 2-1 advantage in the series. The two teams met last season at Riley Park with UGA winning 9-4.


Playing in the Palmetto State
The Bulldogs will be playing inside the state of South Carolina for the first time since April 9. The Citadel has played 10 games outside of the state border after playing 30 of its first 33 games inside the state line.


Goodman Goes Deep Twice
Freshman Ches Goodman hit a pair of home runs in the series finale at UNCG. The two jacks were the first of his career. He became the first Bulldog to hit two homers in a game since Johnathan Sabo hit two home runs against ETSU on May 5, 2017.


'Dogs Tie Doubles Record
The Citadel tied the school record for doubles in a game when it collected nine against UNCG in the second game of the doubleheader. The record was originally set against Appalachian State on March 15, 1998.


Spence With the Bat
Senior Dylan Spence got his first career at-bats against UNCG when he started at designated hitter in the series opener and then played third base in the final two games. He went 2-for-4 with a RBI in the first game, before driving in two runs with a base hit in the second game.


On Deck
The 'Dogs play their first home games in nearly a month as they welcome Wofford to Joe Riley Park May 3-5. The series opener is set for 6:30 p.m., followed by a 6 p.m. start on Saturday and a 1 p.m. first pitch on Sunday.
