WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Citadel football team held one of the nation's top rushing offenses to just 153 yards, but it was not enough as the Bulldogs fell, 14-9, to Army West Point Saturday afternoon at Michie Stadium.

How it Happened
- The Bulldogs got on the scoreboard first as Colby Kintner closed out the first quarter with a 39-yard field goal.
- The Black Knights scored late in the first half on a 29-yard touchdown pass from Jamel Jones to Reikan Donaldson.
- Army extended the lead in the third quarter as Jones capped off a 14-play drive with a five-yard touchdown run.
- The Bulldogs scored their first touchdown late in the fourth quarter as Darique Hampton took the pitch and raced five yards for the touchdown. The two-point conversion was unsuccessful.

- The Bulldogs held Army West Point to season low 153 rushing yards and 228 total yards.
- Sean-Thomas Faulkner led the defense with a career-high 16 tackles.
- Anthony Britton Jr. added 10 tackles for his second-straight double-digit tackle performance. Britton also added a 13-yard sack.
- The Bulldogs opened the game by converting an onside kick. Matt Campbell executed the pop quick that was caught in the air by Destin Mack.
- Andy Davis' second-quarter interception was the first of his career. It was also the first interception for the Bulldogs this season.
- Jay Smith added the second interception of the game with a leaping grab on a screen attempt. Smith returned the interception 18 yards to the two-yard line.
- It was the first two-interception game for the defense since the Western Carolina game in 2019.
- Darique Hampton's five-yard touchdown run was the first touchdown of his career.
- Jaylan Adams led the ground attack with 55 yards on 14 carries. He was also 3-for-4 for 20 yards.
- Raleigh Webb caught two passes for 55 yards, including a season-long 50-yard catch late in the first half.
