Rifle Falls to No. 1 TCU

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel rifle team fell to No. 1 TCU Saturday morning at the Inouye Marksmanship Center. The Bulldogs shot an aggregate score of 4,544, while the Horned Frogs shot a season-best 4,738.
 
Cameron Bates led the Bulldogs with an aggregate score of 1,148, good enough for sixth place. Max Brabston was seventh with a score of 1,138 and Charlotte Welsh eight at 1,135.
 
NOTE: Not all shooters for The Citadel were able to complete their rounds due to technical difficulties with some of the targets.
 
Three-Position Smallbore
  • Cameron Bates led the Bulldogs in three-position smallbore with a score of 574.
  • The score was his third-highest of the season for Bates.
  • Max Brabston shot a 563 to finish in ninth place.
  • Charlotte Welsh finished with a 551.
