SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Citadel libero
Kenzie Kellerman was named the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 13-19, it was announced by the league office on Monday.
The junior was honored after recording 43 digs, five assists and three service aces in a pair of matches last week.
Kellerman started the week by recording 17 digs and three service aces in a three-set victory over South Carolina State. She followed it up with 26 digs and two assists in four sets against Presbyterian.
The Bulldogs return to the court this weekend as they open SoCon action on the road. The Citadel opens conference play at Mercer on Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. The road trip continues with a 7 p.m. match at Samford on Sept. 25.
