Bulldogs Fall at FBS App State

BOONE, N.C. – The Citadel football team went on the road and fell, 49-0, to Appalachian State Saturday afternoon at Kidd Brewer Stadium.

  • App got on the board on their opening possession as Chase Brice hit Dashaun Davis for a 44-yard touchdown.
  • The Mountaineers added to the lead as Brice kept the ball around right end for a one-yard touchdown.
  • App grew the lead in the second quarter with touchdown passes of eight yards to Eli Wilson and 22 yards to Christian Horn.
  • Camerun Peoples scored the Mountaineers second rushing touchdown of the half on a 73-yard run.
  • The Mountaineers added to the lead in the third quarter with an 80-yard touchdown pass from Brice to Horn.
  • App closed out the scoring in the fourth quarter with a four-yard touchdown run from Kanye Roberts.
