CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Bulldogs' blazing-hot shooting to start the game cooled off over the course of their Saturday home matchup ETSU, as most of the bounces went the Buccaneers' way in a 77-67 decision.

How it Happened
- The Citadel came out hot, with a David Maynard three opening up the deep action that saw the Bulldogs make 11 of their first 15 three attempts. Tyler Moffe and Rudy Fitzgibbons III each had three in the opening session, while Jason Roche had two and one each from Maynard, Hayden Brown, and Brent Davis.
- With The Citadel ahead 43-35, the Buccaneers plundered a late 12-2 run, capped off with a pullup half court buzzer beater from Ledarrius Brewer to lead 47-45 at halftime.
- It would be far from the last time the Bulldogs would see of Brewer, as his 29-point afternoon helped keep ETSU rolling to start the second half with five straight points and a 7-2 run.
- The Bulldogs' shooting was not as proficient in the second half, as the opening ten-plus minutes saw Hayden Brown held scoreless and Tyler Moffe and Jason Roche making the team's only threes of the half.
- The Buccaneers used this to their advantage, eventually upping their lead as high as 68-56 with 7:29 remaining.
- The Citadel looked at a 69-60 deficit entering the bonus with 4:19 remaining. Free throws from Moffe and Brown got the game down to 69-64, but the Bulldogs could not get any closer.

His rebounding display Saturday moved him into fifth all-time with 679 rebounds, passing Matt Newman's total of 666 from 1994-98. Brown's 1,310 career points ranks 13th all-time. His 18 rebounds against the Buccaneers is second only to his 21 boards versus Columbia International on Dec. 7, 2020.
- Stephen Clark had three blocks to stand along ranking fourth all-time with 63 blocks in one season and fourth with 125 career blocks.
