All games for the 2021-22 season will be carried on 102.1FM and 1450AM. The voice of the Bulldogs, Luke Mauro, returns for his fourth season behind the mic. The game can be seen on ESPN+ with Scott Pryzwanski and Stan Lewter on the call.

WHAT'S TRENDING
The Citadel is 6-2 when leading at halftime and 4-0 when scoring 100+ pts. A win will mark the Bulldogs' first season sweep of UNCG since 2008-09.

MILESTONES, SEASON-BESTS TOPS SAMFORD
Hayden Brown recorded his 22nd career double-double and fourth 30-point game (35 pts., 11 reb.) in Saturday's 107-93 win over Samford, while Jason Roche had a career-best nine 3-pointers and 29 points, setting a new school record for threes in a season by a freshman with 89. The Citadel shot a season-high 59.4 percent (38-64) with 17 threes for their second-highest 3-point outing this season and their 107 points the highest this year against a NCAA Division I opponent.

ROCHE'S LONG-RANGE PATH TO GLORY
Jason Roche became the first Bulldog in school history to hit at least seven 3-pointers in consecutive games, drilling seven at Furman last Wednesday and a career-high nine against Samford Saturday. His 89 triples (1st in SoCon) are most all-time for a freshman in one season at The Citadel and sixth-most overall. His nine threes Saturday were one off from the school record of ten set by three players, most recently Connor Kern in 2019.

RISING THROUGH THE RANKS!
Jason Roche broke Fletcher Abee's (2019-20) freshman 3-point season record with 89, good for sixth all-time. Hayden Brown earned his 22nd career double-double Saturday to tie for second-most in a career at The Citadel. He had the second-highest single-game point total of his career with 35, moving into 16th all-time with 1,237 points, while his 11 rebounds moved him into seventh all-time with 633. Stephen Clark added one block Saturday to his career total of 117 for fourth all-time, while his 55 season blocks ranks sixth all-time.

TALES FROM THE "TRIP"
Armed with freshman shooting phenom Jason Roche and the capable long-range shooting of Tyler Moffe, David Maynard, Rudy Fitzgibbons III and plenty others, The Citadel is 241-of-681 from 3-point range this season. The Bulldogs are 8-6 when they make at least ten threes and 1-5 when opponents match said feat.

HAYDEN BROWN'S PRESENCE
The Bulldogs have won three of the last four games Hayden Brown has been in the starting lineup. After missing most of The Citadel's matchup with Chattanooga and sitting out at Furman, Brown showed no signs of stopping with his powerful performance Saturday against Samford, marking his sixth double-double of the year. He has scored at least 20 points in the team's last six wins.

HISTORY WITH UNCG
The Citadel ended a 16-game drought to UNCG on Jan. 13 with a 15-point comeback win at home over the Spartans, 74-69, after trailing, 33-18, at halftime. It also marked the first career win for head coach Duggar Baucom over UNCG. This 16-game stretch included a pair of three-game season sweeps (two regular season and one tournament win) for the Spartans in 2016-17 and 2020-21. The Spartans hold a 33-10 lead in the all-time series.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
UNCG holds the best scoring defense in the SoCon at 64.2 ppg. and the lowest scoring output at 64.0 ppg. It's proven effective standing at a 14-10 record and 6-6 league mark, plus two straight wins over Furman, 55-53, on Saturday and holding Western Carolina to a season-low 49 points in a 68-49 victory Monday. De'Monte Buckingham leads the team in scoring (13.6 ppg.), rebounding (6.5 rpg. - 8th in SoCon) and 3-point shooting (43.3, 55-127 - 7th in SoCon).

UP NEXT... RIVALRY GOES NATIONAL!
The Citadel heads to VMI this Saturday for a nationally-televised meeting with the Keydets at 3:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
