The Citadel volleyball team (23-1, 11-1) went 1-1 last weekend with a straight-set sweep over Mercer on Oct. 27 and suffered their first loss of the season in five sets against Western Carolina on Oct. 27
15-0 Scoring Run for the Bulldogs
The Citadel volleyball team ended the second set against Mercer on a 15-0 scoring run, with
Ainsley Dowling serving all 15 points.
Hogan Climbing the Rankings
Belle Hogan surpassed the 1,000 mark for assists in a season. She now ranks fifth all-time in the program history with 1,004 assists. She moved into the third spot all-time for the most career assists with 2,923.
Five-time SoCon Player of the Week Honors for Ruffin
Ali Ruffin was honored as the Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the fifth time in the season. She recorded 43 kills in two matches against Mercer and Western Carolina, averaging 5.38 per set. She also recorded back-to-back double-doubles with 19 kills and 11 digs against Mercer and 24 kills and 16 digs against Western Carolina.
Scouting Wofford
The Terriers are 16-7 overall and 7-5 in conference play. Wofford split their matches last weekend with a loss against Samford and a win against Furman. Sarah Barham leads the Terriers with 181 kills, averaging 2.21 per set. Abbey Richman holds down the defense for Wofford with 392 digs.
