The Citadel and South Carolina are meeting for the second time this season and 120th time overall. The Gamecocks hold a 93-26 advantage in the series, but lost their last visit to Riley Park in 2022.

Top 10 Team at The Joe
Tuesday's game against South Carolina will mark the third-straight season the Bulldogs will host a Top 10 team at The Joe. The Citadel hosted Mississippi State in 2021 and Texas in 2022 when both teams were ranked No. 2.

Cameron Reeves returned to the rotation in the series final against Mercer and limited the Bears to just one run on four hits over 8.0 innings.

Ben Hutchins had another strong start against Mercer as the right hander allowed just one run on five hits over 6.0 innings.
Starling's Career-Long Outing
Gant Starling tossed a career-long 4.1 innings in the conference opener. The right hander allowed just one uneared run and struck out seven.
