How It Happened
- Western Carolina scored three runs in the top of the first inning, thanks to an RBI double from Nate Stocum and a two-run RBI double from Hayden Friese.
- The Catamounts posted a four-spot in the top of the third inning with a solo home run from Stocum and back-to-back RBI singles to make it 7-0.
- Travis Lott scored the Bulldogs' first run with an RBI single to shallow left field, scoring Travis Elliott.
- Western Carolina scored three more in the sixth on a bases-loaded walk, an RBI groundout, and a sac-fly RBI to make it 10-1.
- The Catamounts added seven in the top of the eighth.
- Garrett Fulmer hit a sac-fly RBI in the bottom of the eighth to score Phillips Daniels
