Bulldogs Drop Game Against the Catamounts

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel fell in a close game against Western Carolina, 5-3, on Friday afternoon.

How It Happened
  • Western Carolina scored the game's first run in the third inning with a solo home run from Kyle Riesselmann.
  • Riesselmann drove in Zach Kenterman with an RBI single in the top of the fourth, making it 2-0.
  • The Citadel answered back in the bottom of the fourth inning with an RBI ground out from Anthony Hausner, scoring Travis Lott.
  • Travis Elliott singled up the middle, scoring Thomas Rollauer to tie the game at 2-2.
  • Western Carolina scored two in the top of the eighth from a Trent Turner two-run RBI single to make it 4-2.
