Bulldogs Lose in Late Innings After Spartans Rally

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Bulldogs fall in the series opener after a six-run eighth inning from UNCG, losing 6-2 on Friday afternoon inside Joe Riley Park.

How It Happened
  • Travis Elliott scored the Bulldogs' first run in the bottom of the fourth inning with an RBI ground-rule double to left field, scoring Thomas Rollauer.
  • Both teams were held scoreless until the eighth inning, when GC Charman singled up the middle, scoring one for UNCG, tying the game at 1-1.
  • UNCG added five more runs with back-to-back triples, scoring four runs and a sac-fly RBI to give the Spartans the 6-1 lead.
  • Travis Lott singled to right field, scoring Travis Elliott from second to cut down on the Spartan's lead at 6-2.
