CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel volleyball team (3-3) will return to Alabama to participate in the Troy Invitational. They will face off against Troy (3-3) on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Kennesaw State (2-4) at 3 p.m. on Friday.

Notes on the Bulldogs
- The Citadel volleyball team went 1-2 at the Husker Invitational with a win against Montana State (3-1).
- The Citadel played in front of the biggest crowd in program history against #2 Nebraska, with 8,607 people in attendance at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
- Ali Ruffin had 38 kills over the weekend, adding to her career total of 1,333. She now sits in fourth all-time in program history in kills.
- Aaliyah Byers had a productive weekend for the Bulldogs, hitting .451 with 25 kills. Against Montana State, Byers hit .667 with 12 kills on 18 attempts.
- Belle Hogan sits at 3,419 career assists, ranking second all-time in program history. She needs 407 more assists to break Emily Hill's record of 3,826.
- Jaelynn Elgert ranks 17th in the country in total digs with 114.
Scouting Troy
The Trojans are 3-3 overall with wins over New Hampshire, LSU, and Alabama State. Offensively, Tori Hester leads the Trojans with 91 kills, averaging 5.06 kills per set. She is also tied for third on the team with 13.0 total blocks. Defensively, Jaci Mesa leads the team with 55 digs, averaging 3.06 digs per set, and Ella Broadhead leads with 16.0 total blocks. In the previous match-up, the Trojans defeated the Bulldogs in straight sets in 2019.
Scouting Kennesaw State
The Owls are 2-5 overall with wins over Gardner-Webb and App State. Kennesaw has played two SoCon teams, ETSU and Mercer. ETSU swept the Owls and Mercer beat the Owls 3-1. Offensively, Manu Johnsen leads the Owls with 72 kills, averaging 3.43 kills per set. Defensively, Leah Freeman leads with 56 digs, and Olivia Burrage has 14.00 blocks. This will be the first match-up between both teams.
