The Citadel women's soccer team closes out the 2025 regular season on Sunday afternoon with a trip to Greenville to face Furman in a key Southern Conference matchup at Stone Stadium. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.

The Bulldogs look to finish strong after battling to a 1-1 draw at UNCG and falling 0-1 to Mercer last weekend. The contest serves as the final tune-up before postseason play begins next week.

The Bulldogs enter Sunday's matchup 5-7-3 overall and 2-4-2 in league play. Graduate forward Alice Williamson leads the attack with four goals and two game-winners, while senior Elisa Fuentes has contributed three goals and an assist. Sophomore defender Charlotte Seay, who earned SoCon Defensive Player of the Week honors earlier this month, continues to anchor the back line and has chipped in a goal and an assist.

Freshman Cameron Martin ranks among the team leaders with two assists, and junior goalkeeper Zoe Santos owns a .797 save percentage with 51 saves and three clean sheets in 11 appearances. 

As a team, The Citadel averages 10.8 shots per match and has earned 61 corner kicks this season while limiting opponents to a .128 shooting percentage.

Scouting Furman
Furman enters the regular-season finale 8-3-5 overall and 2-2-4 in SoCon play following a 1-1 draw at Chattanooga and a 0-1 loss at Wofford. The Paladins rank among the league's most balanced sides, averaging 1.88 goals per game while allowing just 0.88

The Paladins' attack is driven by junior forwards Maddie Massie and Norah Roller, who have each tallied six goals and two assists, while goalkeeper Reese DeJong has been a steady presence between the posts with a .831 save percentage, 69 saves, and five shutouts on the year. Furman has out-shot opponents 244–193 and holds a 116–63 advantage in corner kicks.

With one match remaining, Furman (10 pts), UNCG (9 pts), The Citadel (8 pts), and Wofford (8 pts) are all tightly grouped in the middle of the table as final seeding is determined.

If The Citadel wins at Furman (11 pts):
The Bulldogs could climb as high as the No. 6 seed, depending on other results across the league.

If The Citadel draws (9 pts):
The Bulldogs would likely finish as the No. 7 seed, setting up a first-round matchup against either Wofford or UNCG, depending on tiebreakers.

If The Citadel loses (8 pts):
The Bulldogs could slide to the No. 8 or No. 9 seed, remaining in the lower half of the bracket entering postseason play.
