CHARLESTON, S.C. – In the wake of a memorable finish to the spring semester athletically, The Citadel Athletics proudly celebrates another notable term in the classroom as well, finishing with a 3.357 overall GPA as a department along with a slew of individual achievements, including: 58 cadet-athletes notching 4.0s, 114 securing Gold Stars (3.7+) and 85 earning distinction on the Dean's List (3.2+).

From a sport-specific perspective, every program at The Citadel save one concluded the six-month period with a team GPA 3.0 or better. Once again, men's tennis paced the department with a 3.758 mark while volleyball (3.680), women's soccer (3.660) and women's cross country (3.504) exceeded the 3.5 plateau; meanwhile, women's track & field (3.462) and men's basketball (3.414) held out above the 3.4 mark.

Individually, 233 of the department's 307 cadet- and student-athletes -- 75.9 percent -- registered GPAs of 3.0 or better with 58 notably clinching perfect 4.0s for the term. Additionally, The Citadel congratulates the 44 Bulldogs who officially earned their degrees with a May graduation.
