CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel women's volleyball team begins a three-game road swing on Friday when it travels to Chattanooga on Friday for a 6 p.m.

The Bulldogs come into the weekend after dropping Tuesday's match to Charleston Southern on the road 3-0.
Bailey Kernodle notched a double-double against the Bucs, recording 11 kills, which was also a team high, and 11 digs. Two other Bulldogs tallied 11 digs, single-season dig leader
Samantha Espy and
Moriah Smith.
Sumerlyn Carruthers led the team with a .364 attack percentage and recorded six kills.
Rachel Keefer had 23 assists in the contest.

The Mocs are currently 20-4 this season, 9-4 in the conference, and swept The Citadel 3-0 in Charleston in early September. Allie Davenport leads UTC with 261 kills this year and has a .271 attack percentage. As a team, the Mocs are averaging 14.1 kills per game as well at 17.3 digs.

The Bulldogs will then travel to Samford for a doubleheader on Saturday and Sunday. Samford (9-11 overall, 4-6 SoCon) will take on Furman on Friday before hosting The Citadel. Krista Boesing leads the fellow Bulldogs with 199 kills and boasts a 2.80 kill per set average. As a team, Samford is averaging 12.5 kills per set. Saturday's game is set to begin at 8 p.m. Eastern time followed by Sunday's contest at noon.
