CHARLESTON, S.C. –The Citadel volleyball team hits the road this weekend to take on Southern Conference opponent UNC-Greensboro on Friday, Oct. 13 and Western Carolina on Saturday, Oct. 14.
 
The Bulldogs (7-16, 1-5 SoCon) recently added another win to their resume after defeating South Carolina State 3-0 on Tuesday, Oct. 10 in McAlister Field House. The Citadel had 43 total kills on the night, led by freshman Sharlissa De Jesus with 16 kills. Sophomore Sarah Dobrich was also a key impact player with four service aces and six blocks.
 
Friday's match against UNCG is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. in Fleming Gymnasium. UNCG is 10-9 overall this season and 3-4 in-conference after beating Western Carolina 3-0 on Oct. 11. Last season, the Bulldogs fell to the Spartans 3-1 in both matchups.  
 
Following Friday's match, the Bulldogs will travel to Cullowhee, N.C. to compete against Western Carolina at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Catamounts are 6-14 overall and 1-6 in the SoCon after falling to UNCG.
 
Friday's match against UNCG will be broadcast on the SoCon Digital Network, and live stats will be available for both matches at CitadelSports.com.
