CHARLESTON, S.Cs. –The Citadel volleyball team travels to Southern Conference leader Furman on Wednesday, Nov. 1 in Greenville, S.C.
The Citadel (8-22, 2-11) traveled last weekend to compete against SoCon opponents East Tennessee State (13-10, 9-3) on Friday, Oct. 27 and Chattanooga (13-13, 6-6) on Saturday, Oct. 28.
The ETSU Bucs came out fast to sweep the first two sets in Friday's match, but the Bulldogs fought back taking set three 25-16. The Bulldogs were unable to hold on and dropped the match 3-1.
On Saturday in Chattanooga, Tenn., the Mocs took the first two sets while the Bulldogs secured the third and fourth in a late rally. After a hard fought battle, the Mocs came away victorious in the fifth set to earn the 3-2 win.
Wednesday's match will mark the second time the Bulldogs have faced Furman (16-8, 10-1) this season after falling to the Paladins 3-1 in McAlister Field House on Tuesday, Oct. 3.
