CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel baseball team continues its home stand on Tuesday against Winthrop at Joe Riley Park.
Originally scheduled for 6 p.m., Tuesday's game has been moved up to a 3 p.m. start time due to forecasted weather.
The Bulldogs (5-10) took one of three games from Stetson over the weekend, winning game one 5-1 before falling in the doubleheader on Saturday.
Winthrop (7-8) is coming off of a series victory over Canisius after sweeping the doubleheader on Saturday.

- Sears was selected the SoCon Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 27 after striking out 12 batters in a 4-0 victory over Delaware State. The award is the third of the career for Sears who won it twice in 2016.
- The Citadel ranks 30th in the nation and leads the SoCon with 9.7 strikeouts per nine innings.
- Jonathan Sabo leads The Citadel with a .305 batting average, 18 hits, 10 runs scored and a .424 slugging percentage.

- William Kinney extended his streak of consecutive starts to 86 games, dating back to 2015. He has started the last 73 straight games at shortstop for The Citadel.
- Relief pitcher Marlin Morris combined to throw 4.1 innings without allowing a base runner against Stetson. The graduate transfer was dealing in his two appearances, striking out eight batters. Morris pitched the ninth inning for The Citadel in its 5-1 win on Friday.
- Clay Martin continued to stay patient as the leadoff hitter, drawing six walks in 18 plate appearances in four games last week. The junior leads the team with 13 walks and a .417 on-base percentage.
- The Bulldogs walked a season-high 13 times on Tuesday, March 1 in a 9-8 victory over Presbyterian College. It is the most walks in a single game for The Citadel since 2007.
- Barrett Charpia walked four times in the game, the most for a single Bulldog player since 2007 as well.
- Relief pitcher Aaron Lesiak earned the win in relief against his former team on Feb. 27 vs Presbyterian.
