CHARLESTON, SC. - Following an impressive 3-0 sweep of Savannah State this past Tuesday, The Citadel Bulldogs will travel to Birmingham, Alabama, to kick off conference play against the Samford Bulldogs on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
 
The Bulldogs will look to senior Moriah Smith to continue her hit streak following a 12-kill stint against Savannah State.
 
Freshman Megan Fuhr, who has recorded 254 assists so far this season, will look to add to her total this weekend.
 
The Samford Bulldogs are 5-9 this season and were picked as a preseason favorite to finish third overall in the Southern Conference. Friday's match will be broadcast on the SoCon Digital Network and live stats will be available on CitadelSports.com.
 
The Citadel will then travel on Saturday to Macon, Georgia, to face conference opponent Mercer at 3:00 p.m. in Hawkins Arena. The Bears have a 4-7 record after falling in the Charleston Invitational over the weekend. ESPN3 will broadcast the match against the Bears and match updates will be available at CitadelSports.com.
