CHARLESTON, S.C. –The Citadel volleyball team is set to travel to Spartanburg, South Carolina, on Wednesday to compete against Southern Conference opponent Wofford.
 
The Bulldogs (6-12, 1-1 SoCon) are coming off an impressive weekend after defeating Samford 3-0 for the first time in program history on Friday, Sept. 22. The Bulldogs then traveled to Macon, Georgia, on Saturday and fell to Mercer in four sets, 3-1.
 
"I am very proud of the consistent effort from the girls," said head coach Craig Mosqueda. "We have challenged them to keep going."
 
The Wofford Terriers are currently 10-6 overall and 1-2 in the SoCon. Last week, the Terriers hosted Furman and fell 3-1 before hitting the road to face Mercer and Samford. The Terriers swept Mercer 3-0 on Friday and dropped their match against Samford 3-1 on Saturday.
 
The match on Wednesday, Sept. 27 against the Terriers is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. in the Richardson Indoor Stadium and will be broadcast on the SoCon Digital Network. Live stats and full results will be available at CitadelSports.com.
