CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel volleyball team will hit the road to continue conference play this weekend against Chattanooga and Samford.
The two-day event will commence on Friday at 6 p.m. against Chattanooga and conclude Saturday at 8 p.m. against Samford.

Opponent Backgrounds
Chattanooga (6-11, 2-2 SoCon) most recently dropped two conference matches to ETSU and UNCG.The Mocs are led by
Dani Szczepanski who has tallied 134 kills while averaging 2.23 kills per set. On the defensive side of the ball,
Megan Kaufman leads the team in digs, averaging 3.43 with a total of 206 on the year.
Samford (8-10, 3-1 SoCon) opened up conference play by winning three matches before dropping their most recent match to UNCG in five sets. On the season for Samford,
Krista Boesing leads the SoCon in total kills at 280, and ranks third in the league in kills per set at 3.78. She now has 1,162 career kills, ranking her eighth in program history for the Bulldogs.
Last Time Out for The Citadel: The Citadel (7-8, 2-2 SoCon) started the season on a historic note after tallying two wins on opening weekend of conference for the first time in program history before most recently dropping back to back matches against Furman and Wofford.
Sharlissa De Jesus leads the team with 207 total kills at a 3.83 per set average which ranks second in the SoCon.
Maya Elassal ranks tenth in the conference with a .281 hitting percentage on 192 kills while
Megan Fuhr aids the offense with an 8.41 assists per set average, putting her in fifth in the SoCon. Defensively,
Sarah Dobrich leads the Bulldogs with 51 blocks.
