Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Citadel volleyball team defeated St. Peters University in their final match of the FAU Invitational.
How it Happened
- The Bulldogs took set one behind three service aces from Sharlissa De Jesus and five kills from Mellanie King.
- The Citadel would drop the second set but bounce back to take set three from the Peacocks.
- In the fourth set, the Bulldogs wasted no time getting out to an early 9-4 lead by a pair of blocks from Sarah Dobrich, Logan Smith and De Jesus.
- Logan Smith tallied 30 assists while hitting .833 with five kills. Three Bulldogs finished with double-digit kills, De Jesus (22), King (11) and Sumerlyn Carruthers (10).
- On the defensive side of the ball, Caricia Rodriguez tallied 13 digs to go along with 10 team blocks for the Bulldogs.

- "We are happy to come back from Florida with two wins under our belt. The team is continuing to learn and grow and that is what we are asking from them as a coaching staff. We are excited to get back to Charleston and prepare for conference play."
