Box Score SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Bulldogs battled with the Terriers through four sets throughout the night, but dropped the match with a final tally, 1-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Neither side could jump out to a significant run through the first set, as the Bulldogs and Terriers bounced back-and-forth with the Terriers squeaking out a 25-20 win to start the match.
• Wofford started the second set with a quick 7-0 run, but The Citadel would not go quietly, stringing together an offensive to tie midway through 12-12.
• The Terriers were aided by a string of errors made by the Bulldogs late in the set to win, 25-20.
• In set three, the 'Dogs warded off any opportunity the Terriers had to create momentum, holding off the opposition, 25-20.
• The Bulldogs fought through the fourth set, battling back to tie midway through 17-17, then 18-18 but were unable to hang on as the Wofford closed out the match with a string of six points in a row.

BY THE NUMBERS

• The Bulldogs barked back at the Terriers' offense throughout the match with a .226 hitting percentage to Wofford's .250.
• Sharlissa De Jesu led the charge for The Citadel with 14 kills on the night.
• Senior Sarah Dobrich put up a wall on defense, logging four blocks.
• Aiding the defense, libero Kenzie Kellerman put up 11 digs on the night.
• Wofford posted 48 assists for the match compared to The Citadel's 39.
