CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel women's soccer team will play five matches this spring, including four at Washington Light Infantry (WLI) Field, head coach Ciaran Traquair announced Monday.

"We are looking forward to a very challenging spring schedule that features a broad mix of teams," Traquair said. "It will be nice to get the local rivalry going again with College of Charleston and we also have Coastal Carolina coming down to play. There are four home games and that allows us to comfortably get our young squad good minutes in a familiar environment. We are preparing for an exciting fall season by competing against some of the best teams in our region. It will be nice to put ourselves out there and enjoy the opportunities that spring soccer present."

The five-game schedule begins this weekend with a 1 p.m. game at SCAD on Saturday, Feb. 23.

The 'Dogs will host Coastal Carolina and Georgia College on Saturday, March 2 for a mini tournament of three, 60-minute games. The Citadel and Coastal will kick things off at 11 a.m. The Chanticleers will then play Georgia College at 12:30 p.m. The day will end with the Bulldogs versus the Bobcats at 2 p.m.

After close to a month off from outside competition, the 'Dogs will host former Southern Conference foe Georgia Southern on Saturday, April 6 in a 1 p.m. match.

The Citadel closes out the spring schedule with a 2 p.m. match against College of Charleston on Saturday, April 13.

Admission to all four home games is free to the public.
