GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Citadel tied a school record with eight doubles in the second game of a doubleheader against UNCG. The 'Dogs dropped both games, falling 6-5 in the opener and 16-10 in the second game.

Game 1
- The Citadel continued to get off to quick starts as Tyler Corbitt doubled to right field with two outs. Ben Peden followed with a RBI single to right center.
- The lead went to 2-0 in the fourth inning after Peden started the inning with a triple to right center. Two batters later, Dylan Spence singled through the right side for his first career hit.
- The offense came calling again in the fifth. Wesley Lane started the inning with a base hit before Tilo Skole sacrificed him to second.
- Corbitt drove in the runner with a base hit to left center.
- After a pitching change, Peden launched the 2-2 pitch over the fence in center field for a two-run shot.
- UNCG climbed back into the game in the sixth inning as they collected five hits, including a two-run triple from Coleman Sawyer, in scoring four runs.
- The Spartans tied the game in the eighth on a leadoff homer from Hogan Windish, then took the lead on a solo shot from Zack Budzik later in the inning.

- The first inning was the start of a high scoring game as UNCG scored six runs over the first three innings to take a 6-3 lead.
- The Citadel got two runs back in the fourth after Ches Goodman tripled and scored on a Will Bastian double.
- Lane would plate Bastian with his second double of the game.
- UNCG opened the game up in the home-half of the inning as they collected four hits and took advantage of five wild pitches to score six runs.
- The 'Dogs began to chip away in the fifth inning when Corbitt and Ben Peden singled to start the inning.
- After a double steal, Corbitt scored on a wild pitch. Peden would score when Andrew Judkins doubled down the right-field line. The second wild pitch of the inning allowed Judkins to score.
- The Citadel pulled within two in the seventh inning as Peden doubled and scored on a fielder's choice.
- With two outs, Goodman doubled off the top of the batter's eye to score Judkins.
- The Spartans would extend their lead by plating four runs in the eighth.
