CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel volleyball team will play its only home match of the fall when the Bulldogs welcome Mercer to McAlister Field House on Oct. 1. First serve is set for 6 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN3.
 
Last Time Out
The Bulldogs have not played a match since a trip to the state of Virginia on Sept. 17-18. The Citadel faced a pair of ACC opponents in Virginia Tech and Virginia on back-to-back nights.
 
Home Match for the Seniors
Four seniors, Sharlissa de Jesus, Megan Fuhr, Mellanie King and Emma Strong, will be playing their only home match of the fall season.
 
Against Mercer
Thursday's match against Mercer will be the second of a home-and-home between the two schools this fall. The Bears took the first match, 3-1, on Sept. 12. Mellanie King led the Bulldogs with 14 kills, while Megan Fuhr added 44 assists and 10 digs.
 
In the Rankings
A trio of seniors have left their mark on the record books throughout their careers. de Jesus currently ranks fourth all-time in kills (1,115), sixth in service aces (114) and 13^th in digs (886). Fuhr is fourth in program history with 2,705 assists. King is 12^th all-time with 831 kills, tied for 14^th with 20 solo blocks and 14^th with 141 career blocks.
 
Up Next
The Bulldogs will shift their focus to the spring season where they play a Southern Conference season. The conference will announce the schedule at a later date.
