CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel volleyball team opens its spring season with three matches in three days. The Bulldogs open up action Sunday afternoon against the College of Charleston at 4 p.m.
The Citadel opens Southern Conference action Feb. 1-2 as Western Carolina comes to McAlister Field House. Monday's match is set for 5 p.m., with Tuesday's match getting started at 1 p.m.
The Bulldogs went 1-3 during an abbreviated fall season. They ended the fall with a 3-1 victory over Mercer.
Mellanie King led the offense with 46 kills, while
Sharlissa de Jesus ranked second with 35 kills in just three matches. King is also the team's top returner with 39 digs.
Kenzie Kellerman posted 34 digs.
The Bulldogs return to action Feb. 7-8 as Furman comes to the Lowcountry.
