CHARLESTON, S.C – The Citadel volleyball team will hit the road this weekend to face UNCG on Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. and Western Carolina on Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
 
Last Week
The Bulldogs played just one match last week, sweeping Furman. The victory was just the fourth all-time against the Paladins, and was the first sweep over Furman. 

Killin' It 
Freshman outside hitter Ali Ruffin posted a double-double for the third time in her career against Furman. Ruffin has 117 kills and 117 digs for the season. She currently ranks second in the SoCon in kills by a freshman.
 
has the second most kills out of the Southern Conference freshman. 
 
Scouting UNCG
UNCG enters the weekend with a 17-3 overall record and 6-1 in conference. The Spartans are coming off three wins against Wofford, Furman and Western Carolina. The Bulldogs have defeated the Spartans in their last three match-ups. UNCG is led by Kayla White, who has 300 kills, and Jenna Wiggs with 305 digs.
 
Scouting Western Carolina
Western Carolina currently has an 8-10 overall record and 4-3 in conference play. The Bulldogs have an all-time record of 9-33 against the Catamounts. Merry Gebel leads the offense with 3.63 kills per set, while Destinee Dorsey is averaging 5.18 digs per set.

The Bulldogs return home to McAlister Field House on Oct. 22 to take on Samford. First serve is set for 6 p.m. and the match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
